COTY is a global beauty products manufacturer that leads the way in color cosmetics, skin & body care, as well as fragrance products, with their brand Sally Hansen being one of America’s top nail & care product providers. As nail art nail was swiftly becoming one of the most trending social postings across channels, Mobilosophy was approached to conceptualize, design and engineer a mobile app that changed the way people created, shared, and appreciated nail art.

Goal

Our aim was to inspire nail art creativity, giving women a canvas to design their looks in a way that had never been done before, while upholding Sally Hansen’s eminent brand legacy. We wanted to give women the ability to see how Sally Hansen’s products could look on their own hands, making the process so easy and engaging that women could effortlessly pull out the app to see how a nail color could match their outfit, or simply their favorite color, at a moment’s notice.

Results

As the brand’s flagship mobile product, the Sally Hansen iPhone, iPad and Android apps are setting the standard in nail art creation. It gives women of all ages the ability to create looks that they’ll never forget, while engaging with the brand’s nail art and care lines in a fun and creative way. Through the personalized “Create My Look” feature, women can take a picture of their hand, choose between numerous nail shapes and colors using a custom built color scanner that’s tied to the actual product line. Users can design their nails as they please or can be inspired by a set of COTY curated looks, opeing up infinte possibilities. From there, they can share their looks or find out where to buy the products used.
